⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **An Unforgettable Dining Experience at London Chop House** From the moment you step in and descend into the speakeasy-style entrance, London Chop House exudes an incredible atmosphere. The elegant yet inviting ambiance is enhanced by the phone booths sprinkled throughout the restaurant, adding a touch of nostalgia and charm. To top it off, a live band fills the space with rich melodies, providing an extra layer to the mood. The service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. My waiter expertly guided me through the menu, ensuring each course arrived at the perfect pace to savor the experience. I started with the crab cake and sautéed beef tips as appetizers—both bursting with flavor and setting a high bar for the meal to come. For the main course, the skin-on salmon was exceptionally moist and well-seasoned, while the braised chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender and juicy. The mac and cheese was a solid choice, pairing well with the creamy mashed potatoes. To complete the meal, I enjoyed a refreshing strawberry lemon drop cocktail, the perfect complement to the flavors of the evening. London Chop House is an ideal spot for special occasions, date nights, or simply indulging in a top-tier dining experience paired with exceptional food. If you're a Detroit local or visiting the city, this restaurant is a **must-visit**!
Great Birthday celebration for my husband. Bone In Ribeye cooked to perfection, garlic mash potatoes to die for, and Lamb Chops to bring you back alive. The asparagus was hearty, seasoned to perfection, nice and firm. Our server was very attentive with a big smile, to include the host. Yes, I will happily return!!
The London Chophouse House isn't just a restaurant, it's a dining experience. We started with a happy hour drink at the bar until our 5:30 dinner reservation. The calamari was crisp, light, and had just the right amount of a tasty glaze. My husband had the porterhouse cooked to perfection and I had the lamb chops which were excellent. The Service and atmosphere were top notch.
They have one of the greatest preparations of a 10+ Wagyu steak. I also love their foie gras and South African lobster tail. The sauces that come with the steak are well-seasoned: I had the champagne peppercorn sauce. In terms of ambience, you can expect stiff drinks with a moody jazz background. I have not had their desserts yet but can’t wait to try their crème brûlée. I usually try to sneak in at a spot at the bar, but if you are here on a date, would recommend a reservation
Went here for my birthday, and immediately at the door, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming introduction and headed into the basement. Once we got there, we were helped to our table, which was at the center of the place with a great view of the piano player. We started with the Calamari and Pork Belly, which were easily the best I've had to date. The pork belly literally melted in my mouth, being so rich. I ordered the Australian NY Strip Waygu recommended by our server cooked med rare +, and it was the top 3 steak I've had. It literally melted and cooked excellently. The mac & cheese was good along with the mashed potatoes. The lamb chops and sauce my wife had in hers was flavor bomb. We had great service and ordered the apple pie cheesecake for dessert, and it was good just the crust was a bit hard from being refrigerated too long. Overall amazing and we will definitely be back!
