Made a reservation and came with a group before a show at the Fox theatre. It was busy which was why we made the reservation. Our reservation was at 5:30 but we didn’t get seated until 5:58pm which put us in a rush. Our server was obviously busy so ordering, getting refills, getting the check etc.. was slow. We all ordered different combos and one person got the pulled pork sandwich. All the food was good. Very good in fact. The only thing that was a disappointment was the cornbread. It was gummy and sweet and being from Georgia that just won’t do. Also a BBQ place without sweet tea feels like a mistake as well. I do admit I may have some bias there. Sides were good especially the Mac and cheese and beans. We were a few minutes late to the show so I now know to leave a lot more time.
I door dash from here a few times always same order some how the meat always comes different Also the portion is different as well I would really appreciate if y'all have me my money's worth of food this location suck The one on Michigan give you more food and taste better
Great food, poor service. I made a call in order and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived at Slows 15 minutes later. Gave the lady my name and she said I got you and went back to doing whatever she was doing. A few minutes later she rung up my order. I asked her was it ready yet. She said, "No." I told her I will pay for it when it's ready. She ask me why couldn't I pay now I explain to her that I was using a card and if my order was not right or ready in a timely fashion I would cancel my order it is sometimes difficult to refund on a credit card. She got mad and said, "well for future references, it don't work like that". I responded saying, " for future references, I'll keep that in mind. I sit don't still waiting on my order. Ten minutes turned into twenty-five minutes. I went back to the counter to ask when would my order be ready? She said, " I don't know" (with attitude). I don't want anyone dealing with my food if they have an attitude. So needless to say, I left and spent my money where the food is good and the people are polite.If you go to this SLOWS. Don't let the girl with the very long eye lashes wait on you.
Slow's has the best catering - I really appreciate all the hard work and effort that goes into their dishes and their smoked meats. My absolute favorites are the brisket and the mac and cheese, but everything is very tasty and the sauces are delicious. The mac and cheese is smothered in melty cheese with crispy edges - just like Grandma wishes she could make. They use shell pasta and a thick roux-based cheese sauce. The food is always hot, fresh and on time with delivery and everyone is always so happy with them. I highly recommend.
